Meditation has been proven to reduce stress, lessen anxiety, help lower blood pressure, increase beneficial sleep patterns, and expand a deeper connection with oneself and others. Whether you have been meditating for years or are brand new to meditation, this weekly group provides a place to practice in a supportive environment and community.
Each week, we delve into a diverse range of enriching meditations, emphasizing healing awareness exercises that you can carry with you. The class will commence and conclude with a 20-minute meditation, with a discussion on a specific topic in between.
Carrie Garcia has dedicated 30 years to practicing meditation, receiving specialized training in Soto Zen Buddhism at the Minnesota Zen Meditation Center. During her time there, she not only taught meditation but also delivered enlightening Dharma talks. This workshop will run every Wednesday for 6 weeks for 90 minutes each session.

Whether you're a seasoned meditator or new to the practice, let's delve into various beneficial meditations, focusing on a healing awareness approach for you to carry forward.
This series will explore loving-kindness meditation, zazen (bare awareness meditation), R.A.I.N. meditation techniques (recognize, acknowledge, investigate, nurture), guided meditations, visualizations, and chanting. We will delve into mindfulness techniques that you can incorporate into your daily activities, along with a weekly focus on a specific discussion topic.
