“We are on a journey of self-discovery, always reaching deeper into the pools of our soul.” ~Unknown

Julia Cameron’s  The Artist’s Way was published in 1992. Since then, many people have bought the book, heard of the book, have the book on their shelves, started the book, and abandoned the book. But for those who have completed the 12-week program outlined in The Artist’s Way, the results have been life-changing.

Carrie Garcia (Carrie Your Yogi) discovered  The Artist’s Way in 2011 and combined her love for yoga with Cameron’s teachings. She has led “Yoga and The Artist’s Way” workshops for over a decade for people looking to tap into their inner creativity and overcome creative blocks

In 2025, Carrie presents "Finding Water: A Creative Journey with Yoga & The Artist’s Way", offering a transformative experience. Explore the depths of creativity and self-discovery with this inspiring 6-week workshop.  It’s easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of daily life and lose touch with our true selves. Carrie establishes a community centered around Finding Water, incorporating weekly sessions on yogic breathwork and postures. Every person is creative and has the inner ability to tap into their own unique creativity. With guidance, accountability, creative tasks, and tools, this group will find within themselves the power, resilience, and path to a more inspirational life.

Now, more than ever, it is important that we take time for ourselves and surround ourselves with a community that will bring renewed energy into your physical and emotional space. Many people are finding they have more time now to focus on creative projects that have been put on the back burner and this workshop will help you both channel and express that energy. You will have the opportunity to join Carrie in person at Tula's beautiful studio in St. Paul. Each Wednesday, look forward to creative juices flowing, encouragement from others, and an inspiring yoga practice. No artistry experience is necessary. The creative is within you.

For The Wise Woman Series

Stay tuned for the next cohort!

“Here in this body are the sacred rivers; here are the sun and the moon as well as all the pilgrimage places…I have not encountered another temple as blissful as my own body.” - Saraha

The Wise Woman is emerging in us. How will you welcome and embrace her? Now, more than ever, it is important that we take time for ourselves, to respect and honor the part of us that is slowing down, the part in us that is turning inward. These sensations are signaling that a change is happening and it is crucial to surround ourselves with a women’s circle that will help to usher the anticipated unfolding of The Wise Woman.  This is your time. This is her time. Renewed energy is at core of the lining that is releasing, making way for creative, limitless nature and freedom to walk the path that SHE chooses.

This Yoga and The Artist’s Way for the Wise Woman is a 9-week journey guided by Carrie Garcia (Carrie Your Yogi) that uses yogic traditions and Julia Cameron’s book, The Artist’s Way, to support the evolving Wise Woman with the knowledge, creativity, and power she has gathered on her life’s journey. You will establish a weekly asana practice that will build strength, and stamina through challenging and relaxing postures and breath work. You will grow a holistic approach for self-care and empowerment using Cameron’s book, her techniques, Carrie’s guidance, and a tribe of supportive people who will hold a sacred space for self-discovery.

Come and embrace this time, whether it be a time of sadness, introspection, release, curiosity, connection or more, Carrie and this cohort will support you in developing skills to listen to your inner-self.
